Lively carbonation. Very light lacing. Aroma is sweet bready malt and herbal hops. Flavor is mainly sweet toasted malt. Very little hop presence in the flavor. The palate is a little flat. Medium body. A decent beer. Thanks Mike. esjaygee (820), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Apr 26, 2008 Mildly unfiltered amber with medium white slowly diminishing head. Sweet aroma of caramel, bread and toasted malts. Smooth taste of caramel, toasted malts and a touch of smoke. Not a bad brew but nothing spectacular. BigMilly8 (373), Holiday, Florida, USA Feb 17, 2008 From bottle : Pours a clear dark copper color, with a small white head that dies down quickly. Somewhat carbonated. Nose is nuts, caramel, and malt. Taste hits you with some nut meg, then some malts round it out, aftertaste is malty as well. Medium body that feels pretty smooth on the palate. Pretty good beer for the style, i like it. kmeves (1012), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Jan 10, 2008 Clear amber color with good carbonation and smallish white head. Aroma is nutty, earthy and some caramel. Flavor is nutty and sweet but with good bitterness to balance it out. Small to medium bodied, long bitter sensation on the tougue at finish. fordest (1778), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 12 oz bottle thanks to Secret Santa. Malty nose off this copper colored beer with a smallish dissapating head. Flavor was malty and nutty. Decent hopping on the finish too. Pretty good for a style that is not my favorite.
