12oz bottle acquired in trade with ughsmash (thanks!). Poured a deep and clear orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toffee, roast, nutty and earthy. Tastes of were more on the subtle side with caramel, toffee, toasted nuts, and some citrus. Body on the thinner side.

Pours a transparent copper amber with a wispy-lacing, frothy off-white head. Aroma of sweet earthy, toasty caramel and Munich malt and a nice noble hop character. Body starts fairly full and sweet with good authenticity and balance. Quite drinkable and flavorful. This might be one of the best American-made examples of the style that I’ve had.

The body’s a clear orange/amber and it’s capped by a creamy white head. Clean aroma of sweet toasted grains and a splash of runny caramel. The flavor’s about the same but with a soft balancing bitterness and a hint of chocolate in the finish. Pretty decent.

Bright copper color with a modest light cream colored head. Light caramel and plenty of toasted malt, smells a bit like fresh sweet roll. A hint of noble hops, with a touch of spiciness. A touch sweet if anything. Toasted malt and fresh toasted bread in the flavors. Quite dry compared to the aromas. A full malty brew. Some sweetness comes in the finish and linger, but is well balanced by dry floral hops. Crisp in the finish and just a bite of bitterness that tails into the linger. A enjoyable brew. Happy Anniversary Lakefront!

Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Clean amber hue with a mostly lasting head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of caramel and bready malts, apple and pear esters, grassy, grainy and soapy. The taste is better than the nose with sweet malts leading the way support by some nutty and grassy undertone. A smooth drinking session fest beer, nothing too complex.

Picked up single 12-oz bottle at Discount Liquors in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, fruity character, a touch of pumpkin, and some candi sugar. Taste is smooth, creamy, medium bodied with light carbonation. Flavors picked up include caramel malt, dried pitted dark fruit, some candi sugar and a hint of yeast. Finish is semi-sweet, with a slight spiced fruity aftertaste.

Bottled. Poured clear medium orange with a couple fingers’ worth of creamy beige head. Nose was just wonderful for the style... mild nuttiness accompanying toasted caramel, toffee, and dry woody notes. Flavor was not far behind, carrying an enjoyable toasted caramel, toffee, and graham cracker base with mild spices, dry herbal and floral bitterness, and some fruit sweetness at the back end that I could not place (very good, though). Medium-bodied and the balance between bitterness and sweetness was ideal. Very, very well done! Kudos!

Bottle (12oz). Clar deep amber with a decent tan creamy/rocky lasting head. Smells like fresh rye bread and roasted nuts over a solid sweet cereal malt body. The taste has both a fresh rye grain and iron/peat tang, with some hrbal hops emerging as it warms - very chewy and solid, soft astringency and mineral character in the finish, nicely carbonated - not too "big" but very roasty and refreshing. Pints of this would be welcomed.
