| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 12, 2008 On draught at the brewery, must be on brewery tour to receive this special beer. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates clean with no ring, nor film top. Aroma of roasted dark chocolate malt, some light molasses, roasted nuts and a little bing cherries. Taste is medium bodied, no carbonation with flavors of roasted dark malt, a touch of chocolate, some sugar, and very light cherry. Finish has a metallic aftertaste that quickly disappears. Not much cherry flavor compared to most other cherry beers. JPDIPSO (4901), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 22, 2008 Pint at the brewery. Near black with a smallish off-white head. Aromas of roasted malt, toast and hints of fruitcake. Flavors start with some dark chocolate and roasted malts. Some light dark and slightly sour cherry flavors. Has a mild belgian qualities, akin belgian stouts anyway. Some what interesting but does not hold my attention lng enough to have a second. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA
