Bottle from a sampler from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. Pours a strawberry read, and like all beers from this sampler, shows very little head. Spicy yeast aroma. Light texture, tart, fruity taste.

Amber with thin white head. Sweet malt & spice & dough on the nose and sweet malt and some fruit on the tongue. Dry malty finish. Perhaps a bit too sweet, but a decent effort nonetheless.

Brandon, Fl. - Kingdom Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Pours a dirty, dark brown with a slight off-white head. Molasses in the aroma with some baked brown bread. Initial flavor believe it or not is of wasabi. Settles a bit and some chocolate finds its way through along with some olive oil, baked brown bread and molasses. Slightly complex for a bock. Somewhat thickish mouthfeel. Very solid bock - good winter warmer.

Draught: Aroma of nuts, malts, pretzels, and caramel. Poured copper/amber in color with a medium-sized, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted. Clear. Not sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor of pretzel, malts, and caramel. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Sweet malt finish.

Strong. Deep and dark. Nice roated flavor with chocate overtones. Mild head, with a heavy body. Good color and thickness. 2008 is a good year.
