Commercial Description:
Made with three styles of fresh American hops and fruity ale yeast that requires greater fermentation, it finishes with a dark amber appearance, spicy hop flavor and bold, malty backbone. The punch this potent brew packs reminds us all that when you want to make a point, you're better off making a statement.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy brownish amber, small head. Caramelly nose with grapefruit atop. Mid-sweet, medium-full bodied, clean rounded mouthfeel. Floral canteloupe hops. Dryish finish with growing piny bitterness. Aromatic and pleasant.

22oz bottle. Poured a deeper and clear copper color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, caramel, some floral hoppiness, and just a tad fruity. Tastes of caramel, citrus, some spicy hops, and some fruitiness. The body was a little on the thinner side. Lacing left on the glass.

Pours a transparent dark copper with a good, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of big, fresh piny resiny hops and caramel maltiness. Body starts with good fullness and sweet toasty caramely malt with a touch of light fruits and resiny bittering and flavor hops. Nicely balanced and quite drinkable.

Clear dark copper color with a strong, tall, tight bubbled, beige head. Nice lace. Almost looks too clean. Big fresh hops aromas. Grass, herbs, spice and citrus all play about. Backdrop of some toast and caramel. Some mild fruits in the background as well. To me this smells like an american strong ale. A bit to much grass for me, but solid. Smooth, lightly thick feel. Sweet start with caramel and flan. Some toasted malts in the middle with light fruit and hints of alcohol. Again, in my opinion to much fruit and sweetness. The hops flavors are there, but the bitterness is not balancing things out. Light pepper and spice in the finish. Sweeter linger also, with light melon and caramel. Reminds me of a young english strong.

Draft at Hopcat. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex yeasty citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Moderate balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of average duration. Good drinkable brew.

Pours deep coppery with ruby highlights and 3-fingers of off-white head. Nose is toasty caramel malt, hops, brown sugar, spicy yeast, figgy fruit. Tastes very hoppy, with caramel malt, brown sugar, figgy fruit, port, berries, and some spicy notes. Palate is rich, complex, malty, hoppy, and fruity, with a nice balance. My 2 year old daughter smelled this and said, "Strawberry" Indeed.

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is medium to dark brownish-amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), moderately to heavily hoppy (resin, apricot), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of cotton candy. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, velvety/oily texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Pretty ordinary...big wallop of raw/green hop aroma, but other than that it’s not particularly compelling or rich. Surprisingly light bodied for the ABV, and a rather weird, slick texture too.
