Commercial Description:
This recipe is a true craft ale brewed with only water, yeast, hops and malted barley, in keeping with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. We have designed it with a vibrant golden amber hue and a refreshing body. The mild addition of Kent Golding hops balances the generous amounts of caramel malts to give it a malty rather than a bitter finish. A special strain of California Ale Yeast gives the brew a slight hint of fruity aroma.

Bottle... Hazy golden ale with a mid-sized, fizzy, off-white head. Fruity, lactic nose... timid notes of peach, bread dough and biscuit with a whisper of buttermilk. The flavor is perfectly balanced, but very thin. Mildly citrusy and refreshing, but boring and empty as well. Light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish. Not really all that good even for the style. Thirst quenching though. Thanks to headbanger for providing the bottle!

(bottle) Pale yellow with little head. Faint aroma - a hint of malt. Flavor is slightly sweet malt. No hops of note. Probably best enjoyed cold on a hot summer day.

Pours yellow gold with almost no head. The aroma is very faint of lemon and malt. I’m not sure where they put these "generous amounts of carmel malts" because I only taste the lightest bits of carmel, and a dash of lemon. The flavor and mouthfeel are so light its almost closer to water than beer.

Got this one bottled at the brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dark yellow, slightly hazy pour with a filmy white head. Strawberries and flowers in the nose. Not much going on early on, typical hop sharpness with a creamy mouthfeel, but quickly rolling into a very pleasant fruitiness with notes of peach and apple. Finishes very clean with no aftertaste and no bitterness. This is a very smooth brew. It’s a bit blander early on than I typically like in my ales, but I really liked this one alltogether.

Bottle. Pours gold with basically no head to speak of. Aroma is very light, a little bit hoppy. Very watery, with almost a slight candy/fruit edge to it. Some nutty/caramel comes through as it starts warming. Thin, almost like drinking a fruit flavored water. Not carbonated, easy drinking. I think you can throw down 6 of these easily.

There is a light hoppish aroma and a pour that is golden. The flavor is almost watery with no malt and a barely perceptible trace of hop. The finish is weak and unispiring.

Interesting, smells kind of like a Belgian, looks like a lager with a thicker head. What makes something a mild ale? I don’t know. A disappearing beer - a light balanced flavor that just disappears like water. Another oddly good beer from Lakefront and a very nice session beer.

Kind of an odd take on the mild style, but a drinkable, sessionable brew. The body is amber/gold and sports a thick, creamy head. The aroma is fresh bread with a touch of apples. A light nutty taste is added to the flavor of this medium bodied drink. The finish is lightly sweet and satisfying. Not bad.
