Commercial Description:
This recipe is a true craft ale brewed with only water, yeast, hops and malted barley, in keeping with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. We have designed it with a vibrant golden amber hue and a refreshing body. The mild addition of Kent Golding hops balances the generous amounts of caramel malts to give it a malty rather than a bitter finish. A special strain of California Ale Yeast gives the brew a slight hint of fruity aroma.

12 oz bottle purchased at Metcalf Discount on 91st Street in Overland Park, KS. March WK4 notched on the bottle label. Pour is clear golden with a bunch of carbonation bubbles and a nice 2 inch off white head. Aroma is a bit corny, some earthiness below that. Taste has some sharp sweetness to it. Ripe pear, maybe? Below that initial taste is the corn. This tasted quite a bit like a macro lager to me. A decently smooth and made macro, granted, but still a little rough. Palate was thin to medium and made my tongue tingle a bit. Clean after taste.

Pour is medium golden with a small head. Aroma is slightly skunky with a light hop aroma. Flavor is very smooth and well blended with a medium fresh hop aroma. Decent brew that is easily drinkable however is not worth another buy.

A style called a "mild ale" that I’m not familiar with. Well, at least the style name fits That is this beer’s defining characteristic.

I don’t really get it. Aroma is almost nonexistent. There just isn’t much to this beer. There is a very mild malt and hop flavor. At least they are distinguishable.

Clear yellow gold with a small, fizzy white head. Aroma is a mild hit of grains, grassy hops and light fruit. Light bodied with flavors of grain and malt finishing to a very mild hops astringence. It’s not an IPA but it’s a pretty refreshing beer on a summer day.

Golden yellow with small white head. Aroma of light grassy hops and spice. Body is watery, light and grainy with the mildest of hop finishes. Somewhat of syrupy feel with a light astringent finish. I see why they call this one a mild ale – everything about it is mild or light.
