Commercial Description:
Eastside Dark The rich, coffee-like aroma and flavor ot this find Dark Bavarian style lager beer is derived from a precise blending of three different specialty barley malts, chocolate, black patent, and Munich malt. Munich malt is also added to bring about the creamy body of this malty brew that has an original gravity of 1060. The most impressive aspect of ths brew is the perfect balance between the specialty malts and coveted Mt. Hood hops. Unlike many other dark beers, East Side Dark doesn't have the bitter aftertaste associated with it. Instead, your palate is greeted with the rich body and balanced flavor that only this beer can deliver.

Bottle, pale brown body with off-white head. Aroma of malts with hint of smoke and coffee. Taste of dark malts, caramel, and maybe burnt toffee. Somewhat sticky aftertaste.

This was tasty. Dark brown opaque body with a strong coffee aroma. Coffee hints on the body with some chocolate hints but a light clean finish. Very nice.

Pours a fairly clear brown head with a reasonable amount of head. The aroma is a bit nutty like a brown ale, but not a lot of fruitiness. There’s a bit of dark dried fruit like the prunes in some doppelbocks as well as some brown sugar. Not that bad of a beer.

Pours dark brown with minimal off white gead. Nose is actually quite nice, with a bready and yeasty influence. The flavor is dry, malty, and clean. A touch of smokiness in the finish. I got a bunch of this breweries beers for free, and I really haven’t liked any of them. This one is not too bad, though.

Bottle: Dark amber color, light off-white head and no lacing. The nose is fruity and yeasty with a touch of bourbon and roast. The flavor is a like a thin mocha with some coffee and chocolate notes. The finish has some raspberry and sweet fruit notes. Decent dunkel, roasty, good body and a creamy mouthfeel. Dry coffee grounds?

Brownish red with off-white head. Aroma is biscuity and a tad smoky with a bit of caramel. Sweet bacony taste ends in crackers with an odd salmon protein wash aftertaste. Still not bad at all.

Dark body with a little white head around the glass. The aroma is wood with a bit of smokiness. The flavor is the same- a bit of bacon, with caramel on the front end.
