Commercial Description:
Eastside Dark The rich, coffee-like aroma and flavor ot this find Dark Bavarian style lager beer is derived from a precise blending of three different specialty barley malts, chocolate, black patent, and Munich malt. Munich malt is also added to bring about the creamy body of this malty brew that has an original gravity of 1060. The most impressive aspect of ths brew is the perfect balance between the specialty malts and coveted Mt. Hood hops. Unlike many other dark beers, East Side Dark doesn't have the bitter aftertaste associated with it. Instead, your palate is greeted with the rich body and balanced flavor that only this beer can deliver.

Pours brown with light tan head. Toasted malt aroma. Flavors of toasted malts, chocolate, coffee and some nuttiness. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel.. Decent.

Dude sniffed it and said it had some poop in there. I think I picked it up. Kind of malty and crappy. Really thin. Not horrible for a dunkel, but you could do better.

12oz bottle from the mix pack. Pours medium brown with a half inch off-white head. Roasty coffee aroma with some hop and lots of malt. Malty flavor with roasty coffee and hop finish.

Pleasant sweet malt aroma. Mahogany pour, large tan head, well retained, ring after ring of lace on the glass, effervescent. Clean malt backbone, bread crusts and nuts mostly, somewhat sweet, some citrus on the finish. Somewhat thin in the body, but very drinkable. A superior session lager.

12oz bottle: Appearance is pitch black with slow fading tan head, aroma is a very faint hint of roasted malt, flavor is of roasted malt and a hint of coffee. I would have no clue this is a lager tastes and looks more like a stout not bad but pretty simple,

Pours and ever so slightly hazy beer bottle brown with almost no head-suspicious. Aroma has plenty of toffee and caramel character, a little roast and some herbal hops. Flavor is a little roast and toffee, along with some grassy and herbal hops. The body is thin and syrupy.

Bottle dated late August. Dark brown color, but still translucent. Not much aroma. Very light roast quality if any. Not a whole lot of flavor. Seems more like food coloring added to a lighter lager.
