May 27, 2008 This really surprised me with how good it is. It’s dark copper with a big, light tan head that slowly shrinks to a permanent 1" head. The aroma is very nice, grain, dark bread, crust, hints of chocolate, caramel, and pine. The taste is similar, mostly fresh, moist whole-wheat bread, hints of earth abd pine, very light hints of caramel, herbs, and chocolate. It’s zesty but very smooth, easy to drink, yet complex and full of flavour.

May 26, 2008 Bottle. Sweet aroma with caramel and faint roast, light plastic, aspartame? Pours mahogany with a short, ephemeral light brown head. Initially crisp taste, lightly sour and acidic with chocolate malt and faint roast. Slight caramel and a little less nuts. Watery but sticky. A really thin Dunkel, it’s true, but the particular type of sweetness makes me think more of German alcopops and Mischgetraenke.

May 21, 2008 I love this stuff. I drank this the first time I went to Milwaukee with my friend Marc; and boy does it bring back the memories. Cola and slight smoky flavor. Rich dark brown color with very little head. Goes down easy. One to recommend to your friends.

May 11, 2008 Even brown translucent hue like a root beer soda. A small head that goes away quickly and no bubble action in the glass. Deep malt aroma mixed with ginger for a spicy and yummy smell. The most dominant taste is water, that actually rises above an out of place sour malt. Palate is expectedly light since water is the dominant taste. I know its designed as a lager but this beer doesn’t mesh well for my liking. Water, Sour, Salt - the flavors don’t mesh they follow each other.

Apr 29, 2008 12 oz botle poured a dark brown with little head. Caramel adn fruit dominate the aroma. Flavor is sweet and malty. Light and fairly palatable.

Apr 29, 2008 Pours deep brownish with ruby edges and off-white head. Nose is rich dark malt, mild cacao, fig, almond, and hops. Tastes malty, with brown sugar, chocolate, figs, and backup hops, and stays rather complex and very refreshing to the last dregs.

Apr 23, 2008 Pours dark amber with a mostly receding tan foamy head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, cherry. Tastes of toffee, bready malt, and alefruits.

Apr 18, 2008 Pours dark brown with a light, foamy head. Flavor is fairly sweet with a malty body. Caramel, chocolate, and coffee are the profiles around. Aroma is sweet and roasty. Moderate mouth feel.
