Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Pours very dark burnt orange tinted brown with a thin manila head that fades almost instantly, for some reason several of the beers from this Lakefront 8 bottle mix pack behaved that way when poured. Aroma is big on roast malt and cold coffee, with a decent amount of cocoa, and an almost tannic bite. Flavor is coffee, cocoa, caramel, a decent nutty sweetness, and some sorghum sweetness. Body is thin and really astringent for the style. Dunno maybe its the coffee or something but it seems like it needs a little extra heft to the mouthfeel.

Where is the head. Very flat pour. Inky black in color. Nice aroma of chocolate and coffee. Nice caramel balance and very subtle hops. Slight root beer flavor, mild vanilla.

Bottle from Hi-Time in Costa Mesa, CA. I just didnt get this one. It tasted of carbonated cofeee. Aroma and appearance were acceptable, but upon first sip the coffee flavor was over the top. It was very uncontrolled on the palate. Drain pour.

Bottle dated late August. Website says it is 5.9% ABV. Has a slightly sour smell. Pitch black, red/tan head that fizzes away fast. Definitely coffee tasting, but maybe slightly astringent. Not really easy to down.

Bottle. Pours black with a small, frothy, dark brown head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt -molasses, caramel, coffee-, light hops -herbs-, average yeast -leather- with notes of prune, smoke, and vanilla. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Bottle. Pours deep brown with a tan head. The flavor and aroma is roasted malt and coffee. A bit on the artificial side, but decent nonetheless.

Bottle thanks to daknole. Pours a dark color with a medium brown head that goes down to next to nothing. The aroma is mostly sweet roasted notes; coffee malts and some fruit. The flavor is a bittersweet chocolate, coffee and some light nutty flavors. Not bad.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a two finger lighter brown head. Aroma was coffee and a hint of bitter chocolate. Flavor was dry and bitter (but good) with hints of both coffee and chocolate. Medium/full body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. I really thought that this was better than most other people seem to think. Oh well.
