Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Pours black with a fine, tan head. Aroma is of stale coffee and chocolate. Flavor is stale coffee and a light-for-style mouthfeel. eh.

From a 12 oz bottle from a 7.99 six pack, this poured a deep brown that was nearly black, foamy tan head, and light lacing. Coffee nose with some chocolate. Lively mouthfeel. Flavor of dark roasted maltss and coffee. Not much of a finish;

Bottle. Pours dark brown/black with a substantial and frothy light brown head. Chocolate aroma. Flavor the familiar stout chocolate/ coffee tandem with some minerals, but with some bitter acidity like you’d get from overheated coffee. Seems to water out on the finish. Wanting more fullness here, as well as cleaner flavors.

Bottle - well, half of what I was expecting. The coffee flavor was all there but not much of the richness I expected from a stout. A tad watery. Not much head. Its drinkable, the flavor saves this otherwise mediocre beer.

Dark almost black pour, almost no head. Other than the color, not really a stout, more like a simple dark beer. Nose lacks intensity, maybe notes of coffee. Flavor lacks intensity ... maybe notes of dark roast, coffee, vanilla, and a strange sourness. No integration. Thin. Pretty feeble stuff. Maybe a bonus point for how low the alcohol is, but maybe not; it’s not like they accomplished anything.

Bottle from a sampler from WFM Charlottesville. Pours deep black with a small head. Aroma is pure coffee, not much else. Taste is exactly the same as the aroma. Thin body and a little watery.

From a 355 ml. bottle brewed July 2007-Week 3. Pours a dark brown-black with no head. It really looks like coffee. Aroma definitely has coffee in it and I can’t pinpoint many other aromas except maybe some barley. Pretty watery for a stout though. The flavor is of coffee, cocoa, toffee, etc. I don’t know. Not bad for what it is but not my cup of tea....

Coca Cola colored with minimal head or apparent carbonation. Aroma is coffee and malt, but not so much. Taste is a tart and smoky coffee which makes a for a lively mouthfeel..
