Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Looks like Coca-Cola when poured. Black body, caramel frothy head. Flat. The flavor just does not come out. The formula needs tweaking.

Pours out like a big black stout should. Nice coffee aroma. Taste was a lot thinner than I thought. just didn’t have enough balls for me.

Bottle. Strong coffee and wood aroma. Dark black color with moderate head. Creamy espresso and malt flavors with a slight bitter finish. Medium palate. A nice easy drinking sweet stout.

Rated 8/2/07. Black body with a tan rim around the edges of the surface. Virtually no lacing noted. Smells like a nice mocha milkshake, but the flavor just doesn’t live up to the promising aroma. The taste is basically just strong coffee over a faint, malty chocolate background. It does mellow out and improve a bit as it warms, but its still nothing special. Somewhat watery body for a stout, with a bittersweet coffee finish. Not bad, just incredibly simple and uninspired. Average at best.

Chocolate and alcohol aroma. Very dark amber color with some brown foam. Sweet and tangy malt flavor. No coffee flavor that I can detect, but I did just have some espresso stout home brew.

12oz bottle from a 8pk sampler. Dark brown/black. no head. aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and alcohol. Flavor of green, unripened coffee beans. hop flavors in the finish. not overall impressed.

Dark brown or perhaps a light black with a thin bit of a tan head. Disappearing quickly. Roasty light old cofee, a bit sweet, a little bit low key. Flat, a bit fizzy feeling, better than too much carbonation, but okay. A bit sweet with pruney acidic malt flavors. Diacetyl runs a bit high here. A bit creamy, roasty and fruity, kind of netraul, with a lingering pruny sharpness.

I like coffee and I like stout. I thought I would like this better, but it is a fair stout with the aftertase of coffee. I wonder if it has any caffiene?
