Apr 26, 2006 An opaque brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of roasted coffee, but also a faint note of butter. The flavor is sweet roasted combined with light notes of malt, coffee, and vegetables.

Apr 24, 2006 Bottle poured a translucent reddish black with a large lasting brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, bitter chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bitter chocolate, and a touch of coffee with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish. A fairly tasty stout, the coffe was’nt overdone in fact it is’nt all that noticeable.

Apr 21, 2006 Black color. Aroma of malt and fudge. Good body structure; malty and with good roasted malt; some coffee and roasted malt; very light sourness. Balanced, well blended, original, complex. This is a good beer Henrik!

Apr 18, 2006 Bottle. Black colour with a brown head. Butter, vanilla, coffee aroma and a sweet light sour, vanilla, light coffee taste. Medium body with a sweet sour finish.

Apr 17, 2006 Hm I would have to try the coffee to be real fair here but since I cannot, I will do my best. A little bitter and heavy I liked the true coffee flavor, but wanted it to be a little sweeter and creamier. If you like bitter black coffee (I like mine with cream and sugar) it would be great. Points for being unique.

Apr 13, 2006 Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown - very near black - with a rocky mocha head. Milky chocolate aroma with raisin notes and mild coffee roastiness - fairly green and leafy. Fairly light and thin bodied. Flavours are straightforward and relatively uninteresting - definitely lacking in forward roastiness. Evidence of sour cherries also. Bought at Bello Vino in Ann Arbor in April 2006.

Apr 7, 2006 Bottled December 2005. Poured a very deep iced tea brown with a short-lived cap of beige headage. Nose was of freshly-roasted coffee, citrus, and an odd sour component. Mildly-roasted coffee carried through the flavor... along with sweeter dark malts, fruity sourness, and hints of citrus. Palate was certainly on the light side... mild coffee and citrus bitters surrounding... with intermittent, odd sour notes. Coffee follow-through was quite enjoyable. Just OK overall.
