Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Poured from Bottle into Pint glass. Pours a deep dark brown that borders on black with a fizzy khaki colored head that quickly dissolves and leaves no remains. The nose has some chocolate, roasted malts and just a hint of coffee. The flavor is sweet chocolate upfront and is accompanied by some smoke and earthy hops and finishes dry. Its a medium bodied beer that has a hearty amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is completely lacking and the flavor is pretty faint as well and the body makes it seem more like a porter than a stout.

Lots of coffee in the aroma. Good overall taste. Bit of roast in the taste as well and coffee. Decent stout overall.

Black with a fizzy tan head. Sweet roasted chocolate aroma and taste with some coffee notes on the back end.

Comes out of the bottle a deep, warm sable with a very thick, fine-bubbled and fairly persistent beige head. Rich aroma is like a fine coffee and has hints of unsweetened chocolate and smoke. Flavor is like a good mocha, but too thin to be first-class - it does not seem to live up to the appetizing aroma. There is just a hint of sweetness. Texture is smooth but rather watery, not like most stouts I have tried. Still, it’s OK.

12 oz bottle-pours a dissipating brown head and black color. Aroma is dark fruit-some tart, chocolate/molasses-dark malt, secondary earthy hops. Taste is dark fruit-some tart, coffee/chocolate/molasses-dark malt, secondary earthy/chickory hops. Aggressive carbonation, porter like. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this.

Bottle from Belmont Station... Poured black with a thick, light brown head. Roasted coffee beans and malts on the nose. Thick, full, and foamy palate. Big coffee notes with sweet sugars from coffee and toffee characters. A little bit of mellow hops for a good balance.

Pours a pitch black colour with a foamy tan head. The nose is of roasted malt with some bathwater and tannin atringency. Suggestions of berries more commonly seen in porters comes to mind, as well. The flavour brings forth that advertised coffee, but it isn’t really rich, just acidic and phenolic. The aftertaste is probably the best part that makes me continue to sip. The body is medium to thin for the style and finishes quick, though the linger of coffee remains for some time. I’m really torn about how I feel about this one.

This is a pretty decent beer for cheap. It smells like coffee. Tastes like a simple lightly sweet stout with coffee. The flavor is one dimensional but nice.
