Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Black or dark brown with mocha colored finger of head. Looks great, but it’s mostly down hill from there. Aroma of some bitter yeast, vinegar, with the touch of coffee. Mild chocolate/coffee flavor, but very simple and pretty disappointing. Mouth feel was extremely watery and thin with very little alcohol present. Basically tastes like a really watered down (cold) coffee. No complexity or palate at all. Bummer.

12 oz bottle pours deep opaque brown and black with a thick and fluffy tan head. Coffee, toffee, and chocolate aroma. Rich coffee and burnt marshmallow flavor. Slightly sour finish. A little thin for a stout.

[1613-20080816] Tap. Mild aroma of malt roast. Dark brown black body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Roasted malt flavour with sour coffee notes. Medium body. Interesting but too sour to be repeatable.

Bottle. Aroma of grape and bittersweet coffee. Flavor of sweet malt with some fruitiness and nuttiness. Nothing overwhelming, but not a bad beer.

bottle shared with Rudolf, mabel, jerc & frylock. Pours a black medium to thinner body with khaki head. Aroma was roasted malts, coffee. Taste was peppery, almost jalapeno juice. Could of been the prevoius Smoked porter but didnt get that flavor. Couldnt get the pepper thing off my palate. Not verry good

Rumor has this may be an older bottle, but when pressed as to the exact date, my friend politely told me to "mind my own business." Appearance: Pours a black body with a thin, wispy, beige head. Smell: Malty nose smelling primarily of chocolate, with lesser notes of roast, nuts, and fruit. Taste: Chocolate-covered coffee beans with a hint of licorice, almonds, and even prunes. Tiny, tiny blip of acidity. Mild hops with a small tingle of bitterness. Roasty, chocolatey finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Drinkability: Decent enough! Definitely easy drinking, particularly with the restrained ABV.
