Whoa, this is unique. Deep amber body, slightly cloudy (unfiltered?). Thin dense head. Aroma is mostly spice (cinammon), which left a BAD first impression because it was so similar to the Pumpkin Lager's aroma and that's nasty stuff in this raters opinion. Flavors expand a bit, however, and include strong orange notes, honey, and toasty malts. Long sweet finish waxes cloying near the end.

Brownish plum body with a quickly diminishing foamy white head. Aroma is pleasant with canied fruit and nutmeg. The flavor is a little less pleasing, but interesting. Dark bread malts take up the start and are replaced by alcohol and nutmet. The finish strongly exhibits orange rind. This beer is a bit overdone. The nontraditional flavors are interesting but just don't appeal to this rater (give me hops!!)

It wasn’t all that bad….. Overly spiced actually I think it was just their Pumpkin Lager with more malt and extreme spices.
Rich mahogany body, syrupy looking body, small light tan head too assist. The aroma is a spice bin of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, orange zest, and pumpkin. The flavor is similar but with a sweet, dry, warming finish. A respectable medium palate and random sheets of lacing.
Like I mentioned, I think it’s just the Pumpkin Lager with a ampped ABV%.

Stumbled across this one in a health store of all places. Pours a dark amber with a small head. Aroma is full of holiday spices as promised. Ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg you name it, it's all there except for the 9.5 Abv. Body is medium to light and smooth finishing with a crispness. Flavor is on the sweet side with most of the spice coming on top of a light hop flavor. Warming alcohol in the finish. Overall a fairly decent winter warmer.

Totally wacky spiced beer packed with flavor of clovey spice and orange rinds. Has Lakefront's trademark crystal clarity. Finishes so damned strong with spice, alochol and fruit (but not the same orange rind flavor). Wild, boozy and fun. Like my favorite women. Huge thanks to Capt. Cougar.

12 oz. bottle Unbelievable! An aroma of baking gingerbread adorns this dark golden brew. Despite the amazingly heavy spicing and intense fragrance, this beer maintains a balanced body and proper flavor, with no cloying aftertaste. Quite simply the most dramatic yet drinkable spiced specialty beer I've had. I hope you like cinnamon!

Small head, off-white in color. Body is a dark amber... more brown. Light malty aroma covered by a pleasant spicy (nutmeg?) nose. Light bitter hops are covered by sweet malt and spices. Not too bad, but still not what I like to drink. Everything did seem to balance nicely.

Light brownish, burnt orangy yellow color thats quite clouded and has a strange glow from the bottom up with a medium ivory colored head from a vigorous pour, sits soft and thick but dwindles down somewhat fast; minimal stringed lace. Aroma is a whole lotta spice! Allspice, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, fly across the air and is very fresh and lovely into the nose, a light touch of dulled plum and sweet potato and toasty malts are in the back but are hard reaching due to the very spicy array this holiday keeper has. Taste is much more subdued then the smell gives way too, which is a good thing, I don't think I would like a glass of allspice, would you? But the spices are there but favorably mixed with a soft toasted Vienna-like maltyness with a slight sweetness underneath some of the allspice and ginger. Quite a nice semi-milding taste thats very pleasant and subtle. Good medium body feel and has a lingering spiced dryness for the finish. The 9.5% ABV surprised me, its no where to found if that is truely the ABV, no where. This was gone in no time and goes down super easy with a good little zip of spice. More please.
