Sadly, I was correct. Malt was simple and somewhat musty. Strange sour yeasty component. Somewhat fruity and estery. Very bland hop profile, some light citrus notes and light resin. You got the look down, now work on the substance. JaBier (1284), Capital City, Ohio, USA

Citrusy hop aroma with a bit of malt sweetness. Hoppy flavor with a little less malt than expected. Sort of thin finish. Pretty good overall. hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Bottle from Westmere Beverage in Albany. Nice hazy orange/light amber in color. Strong carbonation with a long lasting pillowy off white head. Aroma of citrus, and floral hops, but the strength is moderate at best. Taste has light to moderate citrus and floral hops for the style, with a good malt backbone. The malts are interesting enough; but the hops just aren’t assertive enough for the style for me personally. Finishes light to moderately bitter. This one may have some age on it. noncaloric (628), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Pours hazy orange-gold, large beige head, suspended sediment. Large, rocky head, well-retained, ring after ring of lace, effervescent. Really, a beautiful beer. Strong aroma of grapefruit juice. Flavor is citrus and pine resin up front, overtly yeasty in the middle, finishing bitter, maybe a bit too much so, but still a fine IPA. Flavor is medium bodied, very fruit-juicy, with a strong hop burn. Delicious. thornecb (1813), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
