| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Bottle: Very strong hop aroma. Flavor has a big hop bite along with pine. Very rustic. Hops aren’t very well blended so it is real bitter and a bit grainy. Some off flavors include light peach and citrus right at the end. Not a bad beer but not as smooth as it could be. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Pours a cloudy dark amber with a good head. The aroma is moderate herbal hops. There’s a bit of orange fruitiness in the middle of the flavor. The lingering bitterness is really more at the level of an APA than an IPA. JCastner (108), New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 16, 2008 Pours a golden copper with a strong white head. Aroma is of faint grain and cut grass (can’t make out the hops here). Light-medium body with a fairly dry taste with up front bitterness which lingers. So, so. Not one of my favorites. sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Large offwhite head, retention is good, lacing is thick and clingy. Gold color with a light copper glow. Nose is floral, lightly piney and strangely fruity. Body is lightly medium with an almost spritzy carbonation. Floral hoppy flavors up front, perfumey with a sweet malt backing, some lip stick notes as well, strange. Lightly sweet and fruity finish, candy notes? Arf! piscator34 (1131), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Bottled sample. Light orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of mild white grapefruit, pear, and a bit of orange blossom. Flavors of orange creamsicle, pine needles, fragant tea, earth, and corse grasses. A fair amount of chunky-grassy bitterness. A bit light bodied for an IPA, but quite drinkable. A dry, well-balanced beer overall... it seems to occupy a middle ground between APA and IPA. scrizzz (1306), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Golden color, seductive suspended sediment. Beautiful white head, nice lacing. Faint fresh citrus aroma. I wasn’t thinking pear when I read the words from WesKBob under me, but once it was in my head I couldn’t let it go. Soft fresh bartlett pear and pine and jasmine. Yummy. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Aroma is pear and citrus hops. Flavor is similar with some piney hop notes. Not nearly as hoppy as some IPAs, however. Thin and watery with a slightly astringent finish. Not great, but would be a refreshing lawnmower beer.
