| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 26, 2009 12oz. Brown straw, slightly cloudy due to yeast at bottom of bottle. Apricot and lemon nose besides hoppy resin, little noticable malt. Flavor has golden grain in the middle somewhere, tingly hops first and a lasting bitter finish. Malt character is very subtle but a big part of the overall flavor. Complex and delicious! I just noticed that it’s 7%, it’s so balanced I never would have guessed that high. Would definitely go out of my way to buy. Yay beer! rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 2, 2009 On tap @ the Memorial Union on Lake Mendota - Pours hazy dark amber with a big foamy cream head. The smell is wonderful -- sweet malt and a blast of floral hops and honey. The taste is a bit of a letdown though, as it’s all out of balance. it’s way hoppy and bitter without much malt. The finish is real bitter and burns just a bit. Syrupy and resiny on the tongue. A beer that doesn’t live up to its aroma, but decent nonetheless. daknole (2937), Plantation, Florida, USA
