Good aroma of citrusy hops, valancia oranges in particular..almost marmalade.
A tangy type IPA..orange/marmalde tang to it some dark earthy tones in the end..good malt bill carries this.
Ok on the palte average for style.
A nice British style IPA. good stuff. jcr (1182), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Bottle. Medium amber body. Frothy, off-white head that slowly diminishes. At first sniff, the aroma if citrusy with notes of grapefruit and orange and hints of resin. Some malty notes creep in, especially toasted grain with a hint of caramel. The flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter, but finishes lightly to moderately bitter. A bit of an off-taste of husky grain in the finish. Medium body and full, velvety mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. Though the aroma is heavily weighted with hops, the flavor is more balanced toward the malts, too much so for my taste. Headbanger (1598), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Aroma of hops, citrus, and grapefruit. Taste of the same with some bitterness thrown in. This medium bodied brew is quite good and well balanced. jkaiser (220), Orlando, Florida, USA

Fondly recall them from my college days. Hazy orange and nice fluffy head for the style. Aroma is very subdued, a little biscuit. Taste is also subdued, light bitterness in front with a cdecent balance, finished crisp. Refreshing and tasty, but more along the lines of an APA. msante79 (842), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours orangish amber with white head. Aroma is hoppy with grapefruit. Flavor is hops, grapefruit, some sweet and caramel malt. Heavy on hops but does not have a good malt balance. Solid IPA. jmm635 (269), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Deep amber color with a frothy white head. Soggy hop aroma with some grassy characters. Very malty with lots of caramel flavors. Not enough hops, in my opinion. More like a DIPA. DiabolikDUB (144), Portland, Oregon, USA

Pours a hazy orange with a finger and a half of frothy slightly off-white head that is slow to dissolve. Aroma is orange peel, citrus hops and some skunked aroma not sure what it is. The flavor has sweet bitter grapefruit upfront followed by some caramel and biscuit malt. Sweetness and soft bitterness lingers in the aftertaste of this beer. There is a strong presence of alcohol in this beer which is not very flattering. Its medium bodied and and a little chewy. I’m slightly torn with this beer while the aroma is alright there is that "skunked" character and the flavor is actually pretty nice but the alcohol is a little too noticeable.
