CaptainCougar (4638), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jan 19, 2008 Pours a transparent bronze with a spotty-lacing white froth of head. Aroma has nice fresh grapefruity hoppy notes and some sweet caramely malty presence. Body starts fairly full and sweet with toasted malty character and a bittersweet resiny hoppy balance toward a slightly drier crisp finish. A pretty good IPA. hopdog (4569), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 18, 2008 12oz bottle acquired in trade with valpoaj (thanks!). Bottle notched bottled in Jan WK1. Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of pine, a little earthy and some citrus. Tastes of citrus, caramel, and pine. Thin body. acrdz (4302), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 6, 2008 12oz bottle. Hazy orange colored body. Musty and wet bready hops in the nose. Medium to full body, wet bread and chewy caramel malt up front, more of a green veggie flavor on the back. Full on musty, earthy, dirty hops throughout. Medium bitterness, nothing outlandish. Decent enough. Cornfield (4263), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Feb 16, 2008 This pours a clear pale amber body with a substancial head that covers the glass with heavy lacing. The aroma hold pink grapefruit, some flowers, a few pine needles, and a sweet pale malt. Both pink and yellow grapefruit, quite fresh, begin the flavor followed by a light sweet malt. The hoppy bitterness begins to build at the midpoint but never quite crescendos as this hophead would like. Still, it finishes on a dry, bitter note that I appreciate. Not bad at all.

JPDIPSO (4234), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 12, 2005 Tap State Fair ’05. Near copper color with a creamy light beige head. Fresh hops aromas mingle with mild caramel. Nose detects mild citrus (mostly orange and touch of grapefruit) and hint of pine. smooth and creamy feel. Sweet malts hit the mouth running and are slowed promptly with a full grapefruit barrage. Finish is quite smooth and returns back to its malt roots. An IPA to relax with.
