Orange tinged golden color with a bubbly white head. Near medium body with mild, almost creamy, carbonation. The flavor is light malt, and near citrus hop. Of course it’s not citrus, but there is so much hop for this style. The finish is neither sweet nor dry, and the hop builds a little. Very clean. I agree, the accent is on the hops. All the comment on strength is compared to a typical American macro, not a crafted IPA. Anyway I was pleasantly surprised by this lager. BückDich (4847), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Bottle: Pale gold color, light white head and some lacing. The nose is grassy, some tin and light pilsner malt. The flavor is toasty with a light sweetness, moderately hoppy flavor, lacking some bitterness. Minerally finish and a grainy character to accentuate the over extracted malts and light hop spread. bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Bottle. Pale golden beer with a whitish head. Grassy malty aroma. Grainy malt flavor with mineral and grass. Medium body. Mineral and grass linger with a bit of sweetness. Some hops they don’t help much. Blah. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 29, 2007 Ugh! This awful. I got the 8 pack and have seen this brewer’s beers in their best and worst. This is their worst. Aroma was weak could pick up a hint of light malt, but barely. Pour was a flat light cloudy gold with no head. Taste had a vomit appeal...could pick up some banana and a tad of hops in the background. Little carbonation and too sweet. Blah. cheapdark (2016), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 29, 2007 Pour is slightly hazy ubiquitous pale yellow american beer, however, the small amout of sludge on the bottom of the bottle yeilds a wheatlike swirl at the end. Good needling personality on the first taste. Has some lemon oil or citrus bite to it. Decent amount of carbonation. Ends with some bitter lasting industrial green citrus rind. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Nice, if slightly sweet pils. Pours fine with a light head, some grainy and citrusy notes. Easy to drink with a caramel sweetness. Decent hops punch on the finish. IrishBoy (2711), Bakersfield, California, USA
