Commercial Description:
In the words of our President and founding father, Russ Klisch, "Klisch Pilsner is a meat and potatoes beer," meaning that though there are no darker specialty grains used to influence the color or texture of this beer, it is nonetheless a full-bodied satisfying all-malt brew. The recipe is simple, but how it is put together is what gives this beer its complexity. The deep golden color and malty flavor come from an ample amount of domestic malted barley and imported hops. The addition of Saaz hops added at the end of a two-hour boil gives the beer a wonderful balance with the accent on the hops.

Bottle poured a clear yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, grass and faint citrus notes. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of graininess, straw and a hint of lemon with a crisp clean finish.

Pours dirty yellow with slight whitish head. Nose is a bit grassy and strawlike. Slightly musty. Thin mouthfeel, this has the makings of a "Premium" beer, with other watered down commercial examples. Sort of boring. Better than commercially made styles, but definitely not my fav.

Golden in color, as expected. Very little head and very little aroma. The taste is hard to pin down, sort of a real watery malt with a touch of hops.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is a pretty nice mix of malts and hops. Flavor is lemon lime bitterness with a after taste of sour pickles. After the first whiff i had promise for this brew but the sourness of the flavor is all wrong. This is a German pils?

Golden color with a decent size white head. Sweet malty aroma. Malty taste with a very nice full body. Some hops in the finish. I liked this beer but it seemed to malty/sweet to be considered a pisener.

From a 12oz. long neck brown bottle with a notched bottling date on side of front label, 3rd week/Aug. Made an average appearance, poured a clear semi-tarnished golden with a small fizzy head that reduced to a thin fizzy lacing. Had a nice aroma, a lemony/citrus/fruity hoppiness with a pale bready maltiness in the background. Moderate carbonation and a slick light bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. A lemony/fruity hop taste upfront, a mild, but biting bitterness, a soft breadiness and a crisp lemony bitter finish.

pours a very light, clear gold with visible carbonation, minimal head, and decent lacing. aroma of sweet wheat and taste of pickled (vinegar) beats.

Pours a clear light brown with white head that lingers. Strong wheaty aroma. Flavors of wheat with a little bit of lingering sweetness on the finish. I wasn’t able to discern any caramel aroma or citrus, but then again I’m coming off a cold. I will definitely have to try this again.
