Commercial Description:
In the words of our President and founding father, Russ Klisch, "Klisch Pilsner is a meat and potatoes beer," meaning that though there are no darker specialty grains used to influence the color or texture of this beer, it is nonetheless a full-bodied satisfying all-malt brew. The recipe is simple, but how it is put together is what gives this beer its complexity. The deep golden color and malty flavor come from an ample amount of domestic malted barley and imported hops. The addition of Saaz hops added at the end of a two-hour boil gives the beer a wonderful balance with the accent on the hops.

Pours to a light golden body. Has a thin white head and spotty lacing. Light grains. Light grass hops. Very mild. The flavor is toasted barley and light banana. Corn is also present. Not bad, just not my favorite style. The palate is light to medium bodied. Slick and watery with noticeable carbonation.

12 oz. bottle. Light brown with a small off white head. Grassy aroma with fruity, herbal notes and a hint of malt. Creamy, medium bodied with flavors of tart fruit and sweet malt. Herbal bitter hops finish to round it out. Very satisfying.

Fruity, grassy, herbal and spicy aroma. Clear copper body with low white head that diminishes to ring. Light notes of fruit and caramel in the sweet grainy flavour. Medium-light body with ample carbonation. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005.

Couleur ambrée allant vers le bronze. Mousse blanche semi abondante.

Light burnished amber body wearing a sticky if thin white head. Gentle caramelly nose with plenty of fresh hay and crisp grassy tones. Delicious toffee notes mingle around the slight apparent tartness and beg for a sip. Nutty palate, floral and highly crisp. Could use more bitterness, but this must have a few months on it easily. Crushed grains suggestions create a superb cereal side that shows its malt foundations through a firm medium body. Great pils.

The Lure:
A bronze gown surprises for a pils of German origin. Dry, green hops emerge amongst the malt husks and cereal.

The Festivities:
A field of dry earth and rich grain with a few dispersed grass blades. A creamy mouthfeel helps showcase the herbal hop bitterness.

Transcendence:
Another day ends at the factory with the promise of refreshment and nourishment back home.

Bright gold body with lots of carbonation. The head is huge. The aroma is grassy with carrots. The taste is spicy grass. There is also some celery in the finish. This has a lot of flavor for the style, but not necessarily all good.

Fantastic beer. I haven’t had a decent pilsener in a really long time. Nice bite. Looked like a freaking television commercial sitting in the glass. Very crisp and clean with a pleasing bite. To those that rated it low if you didn’t drink it from the proper glass you might want to try it again because Pilseners especially benefit from the proper glass.
