Commercial Description:
In the words of our President and founding father, Russ Klisch, "Klisch Pilsner is a meat and potatoes beer," meaning that though there are no darker specialty grains used to influence the color or texture of this beer, it is nonetheless a full-bodied satisfying all-malt brew. The recipe is simple, but how it is put together is what gives this beer its complexity. The deep golden color and malty flavor come from an ample amount of domestic malted barley and imported hops. The addition of Saaz hops added at the end of a two-hour boil gives the beer a wonderful balance with the accent on the hops.

(bottle). Semi-cloudy yellow color. Medium white head. Light/malt lemon aroma and flavor. Avg duration. Finish is slightly astringent. Moderate carbonation. Thin, fizzy texture. Spare lacing.

Flat hazy canary-gold yellow; head bit smooth and white, hurried carbonation. Sharp German Kolsch/pils aroma; flowery hop, bitter citrus. Taste is sharp bitter hops; flowery perfume. Juicy with notes of orange, lime and tangerine; even has a citrusy acidity. Fizzy and thick like orange juice; almost pulpy. Overall a solid, heavier kolsch style.

12oz from the lakefront ’mixed 8’ pack. Aroma is really nice, classic pils, grassy and fruity. taste is a little watery, a bit of grass and light hops in the crisp finish. Warmer, the flavors blend a little better. decent summer drinker, nothing terribly special.

Pours clear gold with white fading head. Smells of strawberries, has a tang to it. Taste is refreshing light, with a cool grassy bitter that subtly affects the back of the palate. OK.

Pours pale gold with liitle to no head. Aroma is very nice crisp grassy hop with a light fruitiness. Body is medium malt, clean pilsner sweetness with a soft mown hay hop and just a hint of peppery spice. Quite nice flavour.

Nice floral hop aroma. This is a fairly dry pilsner. Pretty good, but lacking in flavor.

Pours a typical clear straw-yellow, with a very thick if not too persistent head. Aroma is strong and malty with a fruity undertone, appealing and tempting. Flavor is typical of a pilsner, except it is more mouth-filling than I expected and has a slight hoppy bitter undertone and a firm hint of sour fruit. Texture is fizzy, lively and sassy, leaving a malty and sour aftertaste.
