Commercial Description:
In the words of our President and founding father, Russ Klisch, "Klisch Pilsner is a meat and potatoes beer," meaning that though there are no darker specialty grains used to influence the color or texture of this beer, it is nonetheless a full-bodied satisfying all-malt brew. The recipe is simple, but how it is put together is what gives this beer its complexity. The deep golden color and malty flavor come from an ample amount of domestic malted barley and imported hops. The addition of Saaz hops added at the end of a two-hour boil gives the beer a wonderful balance with the accent on the hops.

Bottle: Golden orange color with a medium, foamy white head. Light bodied. Aroma: dough, mild yeast, sweet light malts, grass. Taste: sweet light malts, yeast, dough, buttered bread, light honey, with some lightly bitter hops in there towards the end. Nice.

Better than I had expected. Straw colored and see-through like a slop beer but the flavor is much better than say a Miller or a Bud. Not exactly a 5 but pretty good for a pilsner.

This pours a rich golden color with a fizzy white head that unfortunately doesn’t last for long. The aroma is doughy sweet malts with a touch of grassiness. The flavor is a nice light malt in a lively mouthfeel. The solid hopping snaps at you at the end of the drink. This is a crisp, refreshing pils.

Descent, but I’m not much of a pilsener man. Smells sweet and yeasty, with some discernable bitters. Tastes smooth, bitter, bright and lively. Full and complex. A good all-purpose, everyday man’s beer.

Bottle Pours a very light pale hazy golden color witha brief fizzy head. After a moment there is nothing left for lacing. Aroma is light sweet malts mostly, with honey and bread notes. Flavor is butter honey toast and a little hops. Aftertaste is soft woody flavor with just a little hops bitterness. Not bad for a pilsner. Quite drinkable. Thanks to MrFacto for this one.

Clear golden hued, transparent at bottom, vague haze at top, covered by a slim, white head, which doffs it’s cap and bids adieu in a trice. Nose is spare, floral, lightly lemony and herbal, subtly hoppy, feels just right for the style. Mild entrance on the palate, good malty feel...doesn’t impress at first, but I warm up to it more as I drink...gets tastier, nice, bright flavor, decent texture. good "lawnmower" beer, "hedgetrimmer" pils, "weedpuller" lager, whatever you want to call it. Citric feel follows through in the finish, feels quite nice in the mouth. Not a favorite style of mine, so I probably won’t revisit this, but do recommend it to those so inclined.
