Commercial Description:
In the words of our President and founding father, Russ Klisch, "Klisch Pilsner is a meat and potatoes beer," meaning that though there are no darker specialty grains used to influence the color or texture of this beer, it is nonetheless a full-bodied satisfying all-malt brew. The recipe is simple, but how it is put together is what gives this beer its complexity. The deep golden color and malty flavor come from an ample amount of domestic malted barley and imported hops. The addition of Saaz hops added at the end of a two-hour boil gives the beer a wonderful balance with the accent on the hops.

Light golden color with a medium white head. Faint wheat aroma with a hint of hops and roasted malt. Slightly sweet and grainy flavor with a mildly bitter finish.

Bottled Aug week 4. Poured pale with a thin white head. Aromas of straw and faint malts. Maybe a hint of some spice also. The flavor is grassy, bread, with hints of lemon. Light body and fizzy carbonation.

Crushed around RyBra, CaryTheDude, and JakeBra. This is surprisingly not as terrible. Golden pour, with decent head. Smells alright. Flavor is ok. Surprisingly drinkable, for a chlorine flavor. I wouldn’t ever try to drink this.

12oz bottle from the mix pack. Pours clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma of a typical German lager with some malt, hop and yeast. Malty flavor up front with a nice hop finish. More flavor than expected and pretty good for the style.

Lovely fresh mown hay aroma. Pours an pale gold, ever so slightly hazy, with a full white head, effervescent. Generous noble hops at the front, slight malt sweetness, as it finishes, it becomes dry, tart, lightly bitter, and just a wee bit oxidized. Lively, dry palate.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. The aroma had grainy malt, ripe banana and a hint of hops. The flavor is well balanced with light fruity notes. Decent.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with very fine particulate. Head is about 1.5 fingers foamy, white and has good retention. Aroma has lots of grassy hops with some fruity highlights, lemon, yeasty bread, fresh grain, a little honey and green apples. Flavor is fairly grassy up front, followed by some berry notes, apple, herbal hops, bread, and some spicy yeast. FInish is yeasty and has a mild grassy, bitter hop draw. Also a little sour and metallic in the aftertaste, not in a good way.
