Oct 15, 2004 Neat looking creamy head, nice clean light amber appearance. Sweet sugary berry like aroma, touch of alcohol. Acidic, sweet, fruity. Falls flat on the face at the finish . Average at best.

Oct 13, 2004 Updated: Aug 21, 2007Bottle: Aroma is awful. It’s sour and spicey, no maltiness and no caramel. Pours a dark amber with a head that’s gone rather quickly. Flavor is terrible. It’s very light malt caramel covered up by complete sourness. Based on everyone else’s description, I can’t believe I’m drinking the same beer. I don’t think I can finish this. My tastebuds may be destroyed from the sourness overkill, but the sourness decreases as you drink, but it’s still terrible. This is no Oktoberfest. Worst beer I’ve had to date out of 166.

Sep 29, 2004 This pours a deep amber color with virtually no head but has a lasting carbonation, small bubbles rising from the glass bottom the entire drink. The aroma is mildy sweet malts with a hint of fruits. A bit of a bitter fruit flavor, but feels good in the mouth and slides down easily, leaving a somewhat sour aftertaste. Not too bad.

Sep 28, 2004 Poured a thin white head that skeedaddled away. Left a nice berry or jelly aroma. Shoulda been a warning...Contamination ALERT. Taste of odd jam and winey flavors..lacto? Sorry guys...a full out miss. Try and clean up your act. Color is red-brown...pretty much in the Marzen range (but slightly on the dark side)...too much wood..not a good blend of malt

Sep 26, 2004 Cloudy copper, decent head. Bagel-ish aroma. Spicy vegetable aroma and flavors. Nice mellow malt base, hints of berries pop up as it warms. Not bad. Thanks to Marinaro500 for this trade!

Sep 24, 2004 Copper colered with a small whitesh head. The aroma is predominately fresh malt. The flavor is again malty, but very fresh tasting. Toward the finish, some hints of grain. Flavor and finish is full as expected from an Oktoberfest. Very smooth and very drinkable.
