Aroma is a touch nutty w/ some roasty sweet malts lots of carmels. Pretty avg palate a bit thin though. The flavor is a typical okt * a typical lakefront brew.. some malts a lightly dry finish.. not all that much to it. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Feb 10, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and good carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent; Lots of good toasty and nutty malt aroma. The palate offers the same. Lots of good, crips, toasty and nutty malt flavor, on a clean, round, body. This beer finishes with more good toasty malt up front, then ends with good herbal hop bitterness to round out and balance the malt character. Nice domestic example of Ofest. argo0 (6994), Washington DC, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Amber to light copper hue. Fizzy head with a quickly disappearing head. Light candied almond aroma and a bit of citrus from the hops. Palate and body are thin and watery with nothing going on in the realm of malt character or anything suggesting a balance of hop and malt. Just nothing there. Typical of Lakefront, not bad, but certainly not good. Very bland, boring and average. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 30, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a medium copper color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, nuts and caramel. Maybe some cardborad in there too. Tastes of the same (without the cardboard). Although these are some of the standard aromas and tastes I’ve come to expect from an Oktoberfest, these didn’t really seem to blend together and didn’t really fit. kramer (2515), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2006 12 oz bottle, via milwcu29. Pours a clear dark gold to light copper colored body under a small fizzy head that faded quickly to a thin film. Aroma is of toasted and nutty malt with a very candy like caramel base. Flavor is similar to aroma but with a little bit of a toffee or buttery flavor emerging on the somewhat sweet finish. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a slightly sticky slick finish. Carbonation is very active, fizzy, and prickly although it feels very fine bubbled. Overall, this was pretty weak and not really my thing. A good really well made Oktoberfest is a hard thing to come by. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 18, 2006 12oz bottle via trade with milwcu29 - thanks Chris! - Pours copper with a short offwhite head that stays briefly then fades to a ring with a little lacing left on the glass. Aromas of toasted malts, some caramel, and some brown sugar. Flavor is caramel, brown sugar and some toffee notes on the finish which is lingering and without hops. Light body and somewhat high carbonation take away some from the overall as well. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2006 From a 12 oz. bottle with a bottling date along the right side of the label, Sep.Week 2.
Poured a cloudy amber with a foamy head that settled into a thin lacing.
Aromas of toasted graininess, sweet malts, a light apple fruitiness mixed with herbal hops.
Moderate carbonation and a crisp, smooth full bodied mouthfeel.
Malty tasting, lightly toasted grains, apple juice fruitiness, caramelized maltiness, herbal hops, soft in their bitterness and a sweet, toasted grain finish.
Not a bad Oktoberfest from Lakefront, above average, could have used a little more lightness in the body.
