For better or worse, so was this. Anyhoo, what I poured from a bottle was a nice, slightly cloudy orange-ish amber brew with a small white head. Nice malt aroma. Initial taste is full, sweet malt with a background nuttiness that lingers for a few seconds. Not a lot of hops but that’s OK for this style, eh?
Quite good. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Not a bad Oktoberfest, but then again this was in a bottle and not on tap. Need to go to Milwaukee some weekend and sample their wares. I hear their tour is excellent and the beer (on tap) is even better. A designated driver might be a good idea. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 30, 2005 Sweet caramel and malt aroma. The appearance is copper brown and the head is small. The flavor is complex with brown sugar, banana, and toasted malt. The aftertaste is malty but clean. It’s a good representative of the style. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2005 On tap at the Firkin, Libertyville, IL. Clear brown hued beer having small, off white head with good lacing. Sweet honey and malt aroma. No carbonation. Medium bodied that starts with light sweet malty favor with tiny hops and finshes with dry with miniscule hop of average duration. Tastes similar to Paulaner’s Oktoberfest. Though not my favorite Oktoberfest beer, it is a good beer nonetheless.
