clear amber, thin off white head, light floral hop aroma, sweet carmel malt flavor, light bittering hops still lets the sweetness come through, picks up at the end and becomes a nice sweet esb, would make a good evening session beer

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Picked up a single bottle from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours dark orange amber brew with a thin white head that quickly dissolves to a white ring. Minimal lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some citrusy hops with scents of light apple and pears. Taste is medium bodied, well carbonated with flavors of caramel malt, sweet fruit and a touch of citrus zest. Finish is slightly dry with a caramel citrus aftertaste. rowefam3 (70), kendallville, Indiana, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Amber. Little off white carbonation. Faint aroma of caramel malt and a light fruitiness. Flavor is all caramel with just a touch of euro hop in the finish. Light body, balanced carbonation. Drinkable, unimpressive. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Pours a burnt dark orange, with a small off white head. Very mild aroma, tough to pull much out at all. Maybe some faint malts and slight citrus. Thats about it. Where are the hops? The taste is almost all malt as well. Some syrupy caramel flavors are evident, and the hops finally make an appearance in the finish. Not exactly what I look for in an ESB. Needs more hops. shrubber85 (3014), Wallhalben, Germany
