Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2009. Hazy orange color. Fruity sopay aroma. Hoppy flavor, some citrus and grass. Decent but also quite ordinary.

Draft at the OF. Some crispness up front, which leads to a rather insipid malty body, and balanced finish. Just barely medium bodied, too thin for the style. Somewhat dirty, dry taste. Nothing special or extra about it, but still fairly drinkable.

Aroma has some earthy bitterness and sweet malts. Flavor is a bit metallic with some pine and moss.

12 oz bottle courtesy of alagnak. May WK2 notched on the label. Pour is hazed orange golden copper with a two inch beige head. Falls with soft crackling and minimal lacing. Aroma of faint cracker malt, and some sour citrus. As it opens up, the sour turns to a more pleasant floral, though not that much more pleasant. Taste is mild sour grain - with more of the soda cracker malt. I am not sure if the sour edge is intended or not, but it does not really help or hurt this beer. Palate is medium to light, a little oily and watery, with above average carbonation. The aftertaste is sweet and sour. Overall, a pretty forgettable beer. As it warmed, the sour came across much more like a bottle infection. Thanks for sending this my way Chris, always appreciate a Lakefront.

Apperance is a clear light brown color with weak tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor mild; sweet of sugar, malt, fruit, minimal hops.

12oz bottle. Perfectly clear and light brown, creamy head has lasted the entire mug. Aroma is clean, slight resin from hops, some cherry and perhaps a little burnt sugar. First gulp contains glorious rum like flavor. Very light hopping lets the sugar and darker malt show through. It’s smashing with garlic scrambled eggs. I want to keeeep drinking, and definitely want to taste more ESBs. Yay beer!

Kinda misses the spot. Not sure the style they’re going for here. Bit of malt and no strong hop flavor to note. Somewhat watery--probably the worst of the 8-pack sampler of lakefront.

Sweet up front with a definite tart that hits the sides of your tongue. Finishes with a nice balance of hoppy bitterness.
