| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Draft at the OF. Some crispness up front, which leads to a rather insipid malty body, and balanced finish. Just barely medium bodied, too thin for the style. Somewhat dirty, dry taste. Nothing special or extra about it, but still fairly drinkable. yobdoog (1543), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

Pour is hazed orange golden copper with a two inch beige head. Falls
with soft crackling and minimal lacing. Aroma of faint cracker malt,
and some sour citrus. As it opens up, the sour turns to a more
pleasant floral, though not that much more pleasant. Taste is mild
sour grain - with more of the soda cracker malt. I am not sure if the
sour edge is intended or not, but it does not really help or hurt this
beer. Palate is medium to light, a little oily and watery, with above
average carbonation. The aftertaste is sweet and sour. Overall, a
pretty forgettable beer. As it warmed, the sour came across much more
like a bottle infection. Thanks for sending this my way Chris, always
appreciate a Lakefront. jjkuck10 (36), , Wisconsin, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Sep 1, 2009 12oz bottle. Perfectly clear and light brown, creamy head has lasted the entire mug. Aroma is clean, slight resin from hops, some cherry and perhaps a little burnt sugar. First gulp contains glorious rum like flavor. Very light hopping lets the sugar and darker malt show through. It’s smashing with garlic scrambled eggs. I want to keeeep drinking, and definitely want to taste more ESBs. Yay beer! BeerFanDan17 (628), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

Bit of malt and no strong hop flavor to note. Somewhat watery--probably the worst of the 8-pack sampler of lakefront. drowland (1432), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
