Poured beautiful "old-school" barely cloudy amber with thin white head (detracting). Light hops aroma and not much else. Taste is not particularly bitter and leaves palate with tiny trace of hops in back of mouth. Very drinkable but not impressive.

Poured a lighter amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of oranges, toasted malts, and bread. Tastes were on the weaker side and somewhat watery with tastes of caramel, citrus and toasted malts. Thin and watery body. Darkover (1314), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2005 Dark copper color with a small beige head. Aroma and flavor of mostly hops with some sweet malt and a bitter finish. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Aroma was bitter for my nose anyway. Straw body with small white head that disipated. Flavor was a bold bitterness up front but settled down in the middle and some caramel flavor appeared. Not bad but not the best here. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 16, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with footbalm, thanks Eric!) A few sips of this ESB and I think it’s decidedly average across the board. This is one of those sweet, bready, lightly toasty ESBs that seems so common here in the States. Moderately fruity and showing a bit of sweet, orange citrus as well, but the hops is just totally lacking here, not even providing enough bitterness to bring the beer into balance. The gentle carbonation, medium body and smooth palate make this an easy beer to drink, but a boring one. Light amber and somewhat hazy body is capped by a small, off-white head that settles to a ring. Just a few spots of lace here and there. Merely ordinary. JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2005 An ok bitter. The aroma is mostly hops, and these are light. The whole beer is generally light; and the organic seems like a gimmick. Light palate. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2005 Light copper. Nose has caramel and a fair number of hops, scent is very bitter. Flavor is dry and hoppy, floral and bitter, some residual sweetness as well. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 12, 2005 Amber/orange, slightly hazy with smallish sediment under huge and bubbly, lace-leavin’ tan. Sweet aromas, highly caramel with alot of fruit... cherry, raisin, some orange and vanilla. Flavor was SWEET with a capital S-W-E-E. I’m not sure what these other cats have been drinkin’, but I’m only getting a smidge of hops. Enjoying this while eating pistachios... it’s like a decadent little dessert. (AND... it was cheap.)
