| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Bottle: Hazy copper/orange color, light white head and nice lacing. The nose is herbal with some squash, allspice and clove up front. Towards the back a little bit of molasses. The flavor has a nutty nutmeg note along with the pumpkin and spice. The finish is a bit light and thin. Missing the maltyness that would really push this towards a respectable lager. iowaherkeye (1858), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 11, 2008 12oz, notched Bottled during Sep Wk 3. Clear orange amber with a 1/2 finger yellowish white head that quickly fades to a ring. Nutmeg is dominant, with some pumpkin, cinnamon, and a tang that I can’t place. Flavor is a little more squash vegetal with a little less spice, but that tang is even more dominant and comes across as being a bit salty. Minimal bitterness in the finish. Low carbonation with a light to moderate body. It is nice to have a pumpkin beer that isn’t a mess of spices, but the underlying beer just isn’t that good. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Bottle. Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished, very little lacing, hazy, carbonation observed, and a golden and pale yellow hue. Nose was pumpkin, sweet, subtle hops, spicy, and cinammon. Ditto for the flavor plus some clove and finishes dry. Fairly smooth, slightly tingly and dry mouthfeel. Light-medium body. Quaffable, but nothing to write home about IMO. Balanced and not over-the-top pumpkin tasting as others that I’ve had, but the flavor of this beer just didn’t leave me wanting more. bma4573 (136), Mechanicsville, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Pours a orange/copper color, with a slight head. With lots of pumpkin and cinnamon aroma. Nice hints of pumpkin and spice with a little hop flavor. Overall good pumpkin beer. PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2008 orange brown body has no head. The aroma is spicy with cinnamon and cloves. The flavor has a lot of cloves and a bit of pumpkin with a bit of honey. bhensonb (4287), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Spicey aroma. Pie spice. Amber color with essentially no head. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is cinnamon and clove and pumpkin? It’s really good. Best pumpkin ale I think I’ve had. The finish is sort of astringent, maybe a hint of sweet, but definitely spices. That’s how to turn squash into something drinkable. Spice it! frankenkitty (1902), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Pours a frost-hazed golden/amber, mostly dead, under a short and quick, off white head. Spicy nutmeg and cinnamon fill the nose, and an image of pumpkin pie most certainly comes to mind. Lager yeast lurks in the background. Mid bodied with a spicy persona. Dry spicing dominates flavor with cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Thick, hearty pumpkin meat makes a presence afterwards. Rather full and rich and one of the better examples of a Pumpkin brew.

Very little head. Aroma is pretty strong; pumpkin, potpourri, ginger, Windex. Flavor is one-dimensional as hell, with pumpkin and various spices. Dry, bland. Boring.
