Poured a hazy light orange. Small head that faded to almost nothing.Looks really watery. Some sediment floating around along with carbonation coming up from random places. After a few sips head did fall to nothing.
Smells of clove, nutmeg and it seems like a touch of cinnamon. I smell a funky yeast in there as well that I associate with an ale. Smells kind of interesting. Can’t make up my mind if I like it or not.
Has the taste of a mulled cider but at the end I pick up the yeast maybe? A little twang. Not much pumpkin if any though. Which is a little disappointing considering what it is.
The mouthfeel is a on the light side of medium. Leaves my mouth a little tingly but it’s just average.
I’d probably only drink one of these. It’s an easy drinker but being as plain as it is and the spices present I couldn’t see myself drinking more than one.
Overall this beer is about as average as you can get. I was hoping for a little more. I always get excited for the seasonals but this was a let down. For some reason this beer drinks more like a cider. Every drink I take I seem to think it needs to be heated up and a cinnamon stick thrown in it. Worth a try if you can just buy a single bottle.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Bottle: Clear copper color with a white head. Aroma, heaps of spices, all spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Flavor, is really more of the same, with a bit more pumpkin to go with all the spice. Thin and fizzy on the tounge. Too much like jack’s. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a clear orangish gold colored body under a small fizzy off-white head that faded to a thin film. Aroma is full of pumpkin pie spices, most prominantly nutmeg and allspice. Lighter notes of cinnamon and pumpkin. Flavor is pretty much all spices, and what pumpkin is there seems pretty artificial tasting. Quite heavy on the cinnamon. Mouthfeel is thinnish with very fizzy prickly carbonation. Texture is just shy of sticky. Overall, this just seemed a little shallow and lacking in complexity. All spice and not much else. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 24, 2006 Nice golden color, small white head that had a short hang time then faded leaving little behind. The aroma is the usual pumpkin spice with a bit of a pumpkiny smell some maltiness but faint and little more then that. The flavor was okay with a decent spicy side coming through right away some faint hints at pumpkin and a bit of some malt but mostly there is just spice and little else. It’s kind of hum drum but it’s also worth trying atleast once. Milld spice and pumpkin flavors but the was a heavy malt presence that didn’t give me much flavor at all. Mild pumpkin beer heavy on the palate, maybe to much mash in mine. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

One of the thicker and more beer-like pumpkin beers I’ve had. Pretty nice I think. Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2006 Decent body to this one is what stood out the most. Much better than the majority out there, aside from Dogfish Head’s version. Pours a nice deep amber hue and the spices of pumpkin pie dance through my nose. A bit too sweet on the palate, but drinkable. Sad to see that the foam quickly clears soon after I’ve had my first sip. Hard time finding the hops in this one where the spice dominates. I understand it is lightly hopped, but perhaps a bit more to help balance out the sweetness. Cletus (5056), Connecticut, USA

Tastes of spices but not as blended as I’d like. Nothing but the pumpkin spices really shine through on this one.
