Hazy dirty copper with no head. Aroma is dominated by spice. Nutmeg, allspice, clove and not much else detectable. Flavor has a strange citrus/orange fruitiness going on, before the spice takes over. Again afetr the spice hits not much else going on. Rather thin and watery.

Bottle. Huge aroma, pumpkin (obviously) spices. Pumpkin taste fairly mild, though the spice combination is huge. Keep an eye on the alcohol in this one, its big!

Bottle. Spicy. Pumpkin, cinnamon, citrus, brown sugar, cloves, salt. Clear ornage pour with medium carbonation and a medium-sized, lacing beige head. Taste is moderately spicy (add allspice and nutmeg to the list) pumpkin pie, a little grainy. Medium, slightly oily body. The citrus and coiander/cloves (the Wit notes, essentially) are the interesting tones here. Just a touch of citric sourness and light bitterness in the finish and beyond.

Light apple cider color with tiny particals floating around. Smell of malt, cinamon, some ginger and pumpkin. It has to warm up a little to enjoy the pumpkin smell. Taste of cinamon, clove, sweet caramel, soem ginger and the pumpkin. A nice bitterness and the spice lingers in your mouth for awhile. I didn’t like this beer last year but I do this year.

Bottled. Beer is slightly hazy, medium-amber colored with an average-sized, frothy, white, mostly and rapidly diminishing head. Pumpkin pie spicing takes the forefront in the nose with heavy notes of ginger, light-to-moderate notes of nutmeg and cinnamon; Malty with a light note of toasted grain, cookie and caramel; Hoppy with a light note of lemon zest; Yeasty with a light note of dough; Light miscellaneous notes of cooked pumpkin, and vanilla. Smells like a well-made pie. The flavor is... oh... damn... the flavor disappoints. It’s moderately sour, lightly bitter, moderately sweet with a long, lightly bitter, lightly acidic/sour finish. Not a lot of spicy retors. The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is less-than-lively. I just wish like heck the flavor was as attractive as the nose.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained 11-Nov-05 in trade with Ughsmash, thanks Jason!) Bottled during Week 1 of October ’05. This isn’t a bad little pumpkin beer. It has a malty, fruity and spicy aroma without smelling like bad beer masked by spice -- that’s a good sign. Similar aspects in the flavor -- the pleasant maltiness, the moderate spices (especially nutmeg) -- but there’s a hint of tartness that seems out of place. On the flip side, it does keep the sweetness in check and prevents a nasty aftertaste like the last pumpkin beer I had. Medium-bodied with standard carbonation. Amber in color and completely clear, but the small off-white head dissipates rapidly. Not bad, but it would definitely be more enjoyable to drink without the tartness getting in the way.

Bottle poured a clear orange-amber with a small dissapating amber head. Aromas of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and a faint hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of pumpkin, clove and a bit of citrus with a crisp spiced finish.
