| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 23, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark gold, with a decent off-white head. Lots of tiny little bits of stuff floating about. No lacing. Aroma is fairly nasty...like a bad aftershave. You can discern some spice, but whatever it is, it isn’t pleasing. Flavor is fairly flat, with some pumpkin (fresh pumpkin not pumpkin pie), maybe a bit of cinnamon, and some pepper. Palate is light-medium body, with a bit of spritz. Finishes slightly bitter and dry. Not particularly refreshing. Overall this was an interesting beer, but a disappointment for me. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2008 12 oz bottle, bottled wk1 of August. Pours hazy golden copper with a fizzy white head that quickly diminishes to a thin collar that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is spices - cinnamon, nutmeg and other pumpkin pie spices.
The flavor is a bit off. Spices are present, but there is a sweet vegetal malt and some earthy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, I really liked the smell of the beer - the flavor, not so much.
