Jun 11, 2006 Maybe I got a bad bottle down in Pensacola, cuz my experience doesn’t align with the style or many of the other reviews below. Pour was on par, amber-oragne, the head was decent, as was the lacing. The aroma was very hard to pick up, more citrus and caramel than anything. The flavor was weird, caramel malts, not much toastiness, no bread, no nuts, just some sweet-sour light lemon juice in there. Brewery says Willamette and Cascade hops in the finish, but I didn’t have them in my bottle from Wk2, December. Maybe this was from 2004 and not 2005.

Jun 11, 2006 Pours a medium red with a tan head. The aroma has a hint of hops but a lot of caramel and a touch of citrus. The flavor is all malts. Caramel, brown sugar comes through strongly, with an even hop finish. Very good beer!

May 25, 2006 Updated: Jan 28, 2008Poured amber with a tan head. Aroma was floral hops and caramel malts. Has a rich "pilsner" aroma. The flavor reminds me of Bob’s 47. Rich soft creamy malts with bread like flavor and some hints of caramel.

May 13, 2006 Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lasting light amber head. Aromas of toasted malt, carmel and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, some brown sugar and a hint of citrus with a smooth lingering finish.

May 6, 2006 Pours bronze orange with mild tan head. Nose is sweet and malty but has a slight citrus character. Flavor has mild hop bitterness to blend with caramel malty body. This is a nice beer. it complements itself.

Apr 29, 2006 An unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is quite light, but what is there is sweet and acidic, with light notes of caramel. The flavor is also a combination of sweetness and light acidity, combined with notes of hops. Nothing special.
