Jun 24, 2003 This is a very nice beer, I was very happy to say the least about this one. Color is a pale coppery caramel brown, very thin head and faded leaving no lace and none appeared as it was consumed. Smells of sweet malt and slight musty bread. Smooth yummy taste of sweet caramel malt and has some breadish notes. Nice solid flavor and very super smooth, oh how easy and scrumptious this is, wow! The feel is quite nice, again, its so smooth with one really nice, full buttery body, yum. Drinkable in many regards, one very delicious amber.

Oct 7, 2008 Pours a clear glowing copper with a medium thick frothy creamy white head. Sweet toasted caramel malt aroma, toasted honey and a bit sour like wet newspaper. Sweet and toasty malts, seems more crystal than caramel. Sour and metallic, light hop fruitiness and lightly buttery. A nice vienna but not even close to Eliot Ness. Weaker body, watery, soft corse carbonation.

Oct 22, 2009 Fairly closed aroma, subtle toasted nuttiness. Flavor is very nice, perfectly balanced with a rich malty flavor. I wish I had enough of this to fill my liter stein with!

Jul 16, 2007 Had this one at the brewery during the tour. It was a nice looking beer with a dark color. Some toasted aroma matched that of the flavor. Fairly sweet. A nice beer to enjoy.

Sep 17, 2005 Sweet malty aroma. Pours Dark golden amber. Tastes caramally, some sour malty notes, sweet, with a crisp finish.

Sep 9, 2007 12 oz bottle. Clear amber with a fluffy tan head. Soapy sourdough with notes of burnt cotton candy and sauerkraut. Medium carb intoduces a substantial Vienna. Cider and caramel, light clove and orange zest; some hop drying to finish.

Aug 7, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark, clear brown color with a small off white head. Nose is lightly nutty, some syrupy sweet malt notes. Palate is syrupy but not heavy. Flavor is lightly nutty, mostly sweet and malty with a smooth, syrupy finish.

Aug 12, 2007 Pours out nice amber color with fluffy white head. Nice malty sweetness in the nose. Malt stays on through the taste with a touch of spice to make it interesting. This is a nice german style beer with a little twist.
