Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

12 oz bottle purchased at Woody’s in Cool Springs. Poured a clear amber color with a one finger, creamy off white head. The aroma was mainly malt, but earthy hops are present. The flavor was caramel malt with a decent grassy, bitter finish. The palate was average, with good carbonation, a medium/light body and a creamy mouthfeel. This beer grew on me as I drank it, but it still is only a marginal brew.

12 oz bottle: dark red-orange, clear liquid. Creamy head and elegant lacing…malty aroma with some honey & fresh flowers. Nice hoppiness on the palate…surprisingly clean and tasty – a light caramel stickiness rounds out the hop/malt combination of flavours. I could have had several more – a first from Lakefront.

Color is a deep amber with a frothy head that lasts a decent amount of time. Initial taste is a little sweet, but not too sweet. The good part is that there is a nice medium body to back up and balance the sweetness. Overall, I like!

Pours a nice ruddy copper hue with fluffy, quickly dissapating head. Nose is sweet malt. Flavor is similar with a hint of caramel. Just o.k.

Had this beer on 1/29/2003. Aroma is s mild malt scent. Color is rich golden with good carbonation and head. Taste is hoppy and smooth. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a creamy feel. Finish is a smooth round malt flavor backed by a full fresh hop flavor and a mild bitterness. One of the most well balanced beers I have had.
