Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

Pours a deep copper orange color, quite clear and effervescent, with a couple inches of light tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Mellow caramel malt and a bit of graininess in the aroma. Not a powerful beer at all, but really quite tasty. Good malt sweetness with caramel, lightly toasted cereal grain, and a hint of fruit. Excellent balance from the hops – more herbal or floral than bitter. Smooth mouthfeel, gently carbonated, not really complex, but tasty and quite drinkable. Highly sessionable. My second Lakefront beer ever (Holiday Spice being the first), and I certainly enjoyed it. Yeah, I think I’ll be trying more… Enjoyed at Old World Wisconsin

Pours caramel color with off white head. Aroma of lightly toasted malts. Sweet, nutty flavor with some toasty maltiness, and mild hop bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Better than expected.

This beer is pretty common here in Milwaukee (it’s even at sporting events), and I’ve had it a few times. It tastes to me like an amber ale with a good hop presence (rather than as a Vienna or Maarzen), and is rather good. Appearance is a dark red-brown color with decent head formation. Aroma is a nice caramel malt and fruity hop balance. Flavor is also similarly balanced, with an assertive hop presence. Mouthfeel is full bodied. Quite good.

super malty aroma, with the ever-so-slight cascadelike tang hidden in there. damn! suprising take on the style. very hoppy for a vienna, but i think i like it. sublime malt backbone with a dry clean finish. awesome balance, hardly cloying despite all the malt. probably the best vienna i’ve had.

12 oz bottle pours coppery with an off white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor is sweet up front, with some nuttiness, and light piney hops.

maybe a slight caramel aroma with some hops mixed in, a nice clean beer, with a bit of a hop taste, I don’t see why this is rated so high, just a little better then average.

Moderate light yeast aroma. Clear orange color with a small white head. Malty start with a mild hop bite finish.
