Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

Golden brown color. Minor head. Can only smell malt. All I taste is malt. A lot of malt. Going to Leons Custard for a malt.

Pours a beautiful dark coppery amber with a VERY thick, if not too persistent, head. (The bottle foamed like nobody’s business so I had to grab a bath towel or get a lapful of beer!) Aroma is quite strong and malty with just a hint of citrus. Taste is malty, not complex but pleasing, with just a touch of sweetness. Texture is smooth and lively, leaving quite a tingle.

I have to say that, until this beer, I never really appreciated the Vienna style. That has now changed! A nice medium copper color and fluffy off white head nicely complement and surprisingly hoppy and delicious nose. The flavor is full of malty goodness, and also has some other very nice notes to it. Finish fades away into a nice sweet toastiness. A very nice beer, and probably the best of the style I've ever had!

The malt here is particularly sharp, very tasty and grainy. The hops are also flavorful, but there is something in the combonation that completely tastes of dill. I couldn't put my finger on it for a while, all I knew was something kept reminding me of Thanksgiving dinner and I finally realized this tastes like dill pickles. Strange for sure, perhaps this isn't the freshest bottle, but despite the oddity, it's actually not bad.

Lots going on here. Slightly sweet and malty. Dry and bitter at the end. Big head and bready aroma. Very good.

This vienna beer pours copperish brown with an longer head. The nutty aromas show off all of the blended malts. The mouthfeel drives the caramel and toast of the malt as well. A great use of the robust malts. The finish lasts long and is complex.

This beer is quite malty with a hint of sourness in the flavor. Amber colored beer with nice head. Had a creamy texture and taste to the beer. Could use a bit more flavor than the malt.
