Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

Pours a dark amber, slightly red. Full beige head with good retention and lacing. Malty aroma, slightly sweet. Flavor is sweet malts, cream soda, caramel, slightly cidery, turning dry, somewhat bread-crusty at the end, but in a good way. Somewhat thin bodied, but the play of the carbonation in the mouth is delightful.

Amber color. Thin body and head. Weak carmel flavor, with some hop bitterness. More hops than most Viennas.

From a 355 ml bottle out of an eight bottle collector’s set with a brewed date of the fourth week of Jul 07. Pours a cloudy ruby-brown, which was a little unexpected. I hoped it would be more clear. I liked the rich malty and caramel aroma though. The taste is sweet and dry but there is a slight note of alcohol in the flavor. Overall it is a fairly good brew.

12oz bottle included in a Lakefront mix pack. Better than expected. Cloudy dark amber. Very malty flavor with taste of caramel.

I almost thought this was an ale--very fruity and complex. My first Vienna outside Mexico and I like it a lot. Nice hope bouqet and flavor--balanced well with malt. Smooth finish.

Pours an amber color with a large creamy off-white head that leaves streams of sticky lacing. Aroma is caramel malts and honey. Taste is about the same with a tinge of hop bitterness on the palate. Meh.

Pours deep brown with a fine, white head. Aroma is pretty sparse. Flavor is rather fruity with a strong caramel flavor. Full mouth feel. Good beer.

Nice light amber gold color with thick white head. Sweet nose of baked peaches, malt, toffee and carmel. Med-Light mouthfeel with a mid-short finish of malt. Flavors of carmel, fruit, carmel, malt, light hops and faint coffee. Great beer very refreshing!
