Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

Medium to full body. Lakefront produces some of the best beer in Milwaukee.

Bottle: Poured a dark amber color with not much head. The aroma was sweet and malty. The flavor was nicely balanced, some nice hop character. This is a refreshing beer and style. Vienna’s are becoming a favorite of mine.

Pours slightly hazy dark copper, head barely manages to skin the top. Aroma is grainy, toast, herbal hops, and a little caramel apple. Flavor is plenty of sweet grainy toast right away, apple, burnt sugar, sweet hay, sweet breads, slightly metallic malt notes, spicy and bitter hops. FInish is grassy and slightly bitter hops with a dry metallic tinge. Body is medium, sticky, sweet, and a little low on carbonation but not flat. Thought there are lots of sweet notes mentioned it is really very well balanced, probably the most hop character of any Vienna I have had, and quite good. Probably the best Vienna I have had, dont remember Elliot Ness that well though.

12oz. brown bottle served in a pilsner glass. Poured a clear pale amber with a couple of fingers of off white head. Plenty of carbonation. Caramel/bready malt aroma with some noble type hops. Malty but not sweet. A little more hop bitterness than you might expect from an amber. Clean and very drinkable session type beer.

Pours a very pretty amber with a nice big off-white head. Aroma is of malt, light fruit. Flavor has a great apple taste to it. Very refreshing, easy to drink. Would take another in an instant.

Had some pints of this last night on tap. It pours to a orangish golden body with a creamy white head that disapated rather quickly. The flavor has some hidden floral hops that are nice when detectable. There’s lots of sweet malts in the foreground. Kinda reminded me of caramel and toffee. Is good on tap. Bottles, less so.

Bottled. Poured clear brighter orange with light swirly yeastage and a tall cap of creamy off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet breads and pils-type malts accented by light green fruits and some pine resin.. quite nice. The flavor had sweet, lightly-toasted caramel with lovely pine accents.. light fruits tail off the sides, leaving a sweet, rewarding feel through the finish. Light-medium bodied and predominantly sweet on the palate with great balance. Well done!
