Jul 28, 2004 Clear reddish appearance, good head formation. Fairly clean malty aroma, mildly toasty. Sweet smooth creamy malt palate, mild spiciness. Fairly bitter citric finish seems a little out of place but pretty good beer overall.

Dec 22, 2007 12 ounce bottle from a mixed 8 pack that was purchased at Nugget in Woodland, CA, Metallic, fruity, estery, lightly banana yeastiness that has been present in all of Lakefront’s beers so far. Transparent amber-copper body with a small off-white head and scant lacing. Lightly sweet, somewhat husky maltiness is present to begin. Becomes a little roastier and covers the mouth nicely. A lightly dry, herbal, light bitter hoppiness is present towards the end. A pretty good brew.

Apr 27, 2005 Bottle courtesy of csbosox: Amber body with red highlights, small off-white head that quickly fades to a ring around the outside of the glass. Aroma: slightly acidic caramel and light fruity notes dominate the nose with the barest hint of spice, sweet grains, spicy hops. Medium bodied, soft-medium carbonation, wet. Taste is midly acidic sweet caramel and toffee, malt, fruit, cookie dough, bread, pine. Finishes sweet with the light acidic malt taste balancing things nicely, leading into a mild hop bitterness. A well crafted lager.

Sep 12, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear copper in color, thin skim of an off white head. Smells malty and fruity, I kind of get a little prunes coming thru. Taste is good, flowery and fruity hops and some malt. More hops than what I was expecting. Fairly thin body, somewhat dry finish. Not bad.

Aug 12, 2007 Pours out nice amber color with fluffy white head. Nice malty sweetness in the nose. Malt stays on through the taste with a touch of spice to make it interesting. This is a nice german style beer with a little twist.

Feb 1, 2009 Light toasty, slightly grassy scent. Taste is light but flavorful. Toasty malts with a very nice yet faint hop flavor. Very refreshing and tasty, easy to drink.
