Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

Clear dark ruby amber with a thick diminishing off white head. Lightly floral aroma of caramel, dried fruit - apple and orange, and bread with a hint of spice. Medium watery body with a moderate amount of carbonation. This could be a decent session beer. Flavor of dried fruit - apple, plum and orange, toasted bread, caramel and hints of spice and smoke. Nicely balanced. Good.

Clear amber color with a fleeting head. Mild spicy herbal sweet smell. Medium bodied with a frothy mouthfeel. Decent spicy herbal flavor same as the smell. Finishes nicely bitter. A very quaffable lager. 112006

Plain golden look. Thought I had drank my first Oktoberfest beer of the year but I guess it is not that. Sweet but a touch of hops keeps it well balanced.

Bottle (12oz). via trade from Ughsmash. Clear reddish amber with an average off-white head. Grainy, slightly chocolatey roast malt aroma, with mild hops, fairly sweet. Soft, mild taste - light roast slightly caramel malt, mild fresh lightly citrus hops - quick off the tongue, a nice sipper. Flat, somewhat light bodied and slightly astringent palate - thin, but a pleasant vienna lager.

Pours a dark riddish-orange hue. Decent head and adequate lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt with some honey mixed in for good measure. Nice balancing of hoppiness on the palate. Clean aftertaste leaving just enough sweetness on the finish. Crisp as a good lager should be. Would make a good breakfast beer. One of their better beers, but not anything very interesting. Ordinary, but not bad.

Bottle from a sampler from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Looks nice... a deep copper color with small but stubborn head. Aroma is caramel and hops. Taste too has a nice bitterness balancing out the hops. All-malt this is not, but it does taste quite nice.

12 oz bottle rich flavor not the best in appearance but makes up in taste taste of fruit and very easy but favorable hop taste. great taste I would buy this beer again. I had the celebration beer before this but this is probably their flagship brew, I like it better.

On tap at miller park. Deep amber color with a thin white head. Dry roasted malt aroma and flavor with a hint of caramel. Go Brewers!
