Medium bodied with a frothy mouthfeel. Decent spicy herbal flavor same as the smell. Finishes nicely bitter. A very quaffable lager. 112006 Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Full, sweet body with a shipload of caramel and some nice, citrusy hops without being particularly bitter. Lovely. 170406 gearbike (418), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA

Thought I had drank my first Oktoberfest beer of the year but I guess it is not that. Sweet but a touch of hops keeps it well balanced. AgentSteve (1379), SF Bay Area, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Poured a clear orangeish amber coloring with a small ring of white foam. Sweet toffee malt aroma, with a tiny amount of nuttiness. Grainy malt sweetness, with a bit of citrus hop bitterness. Balanced and very drinkable. NIce flavors without being over the top. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Very nice. Doesn’t quite have the cutting hoppy flavor it advertises, but the maltiness finish isn’t bad, and even though it lingers it doesn’t get stale. Excellent beer. noncaloric (628), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2009 Pours a dark amber, slightly red. Full beige head with good retention and lacing. Malty aroma, slightly sweet. Flavor is sweet malts, cream soda, caramel, slightly cidery, turning dry, somewhat bread-crusty at the end, but in a good way. Somewhat thin bodied, but the play of the carbonation in the mouth is delightful. simonbilyk (59), Maine, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Draft at Lakefront. Pine and CO2 in the aroma, also lots of malt some of which is toasty. Flavor begins and ends quickly. The hops bitterness is subtle and likes the sides of the tongue. Very pleasant to drink, my Bud Light buddy enjoyed drinking it all night. This speaks to a lot of Lakefront’s beers, they don’t have tremendous depth of flavor but they’re quaffable and tasty. Yay beer!
