Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

12oz bottle. Pours a light tan, lacing head with a clear amber body. Smells of caramel and lightly roasted malts. Tastes to me like apricots and caramel. Decent palate.

Draft. Dark amber brown with a low head. Smells sweet of hops, some toasted malt smell. Bitter crisp taste. Light/medium pallate with a chewy syrup finish.

A very nice thin yellow white head reminiscent of a good crema on a shot of espresso. Aroma contains some hops typical of the style with a nice refreshing breeze coming off of an old growth pine forest over a glacial lake in canada. The taste a bit mild of balenced hops and malt. Moderate carbonation. Smooth sweet fade away. Hmmm nice, perhaps a bit more complexity in the flavor.

12oz bottle included in a Lakefront mix pack. Better than expected. Cloudy dark amber. Very malty flavor with taste of caramel.

This was a very fruity beer. Beautiful color. Almost reminded me of an IPA. Very refreshing.

Mmmmm. ... malty caramel. But wait, there is more. Piney hops that finish you off. Nicely done, but then again nothing special. Yes, a lot of work went into it. But they ended up with a slightly above average beer,

maybe a slight caramel aroma with some hops mixed in, a nice clean beer, with a bit of a hop taste, I don’t see why this is rated so high, just a little better then average.

Not a bad beer. Better than the other lakefront beers that I have tried. Very little aroma and aftertaste.
