Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

Smoky aroma and a very solid malt structure. Soft, perfumey hops; cinnamon, roasted coffee, and chocolate. Off-tan foam- little stick, great retention. Bronze liquid. Full mouthfeel; gentle carbonation. Medicinal edge in the forefront which numbs the palate. Red apples in the finish. Pretty good.

Good amber/red color, small off white head that managed to have a decent hangtime, and leave a little at the sides.Nice malty semi-sweet aroma with a little fruit and hops.Very nice flavor, light malt with a very decent amount of hops coming through but not over poweringly enough to make it bitter. The fruit is a nice mild grapefruit. This is almost a light version of a pale ale IMO and very drinkable, makes me wish i could get this stuff up here because i could definately go through alot of these this summer. Thanks to Jcapriotti for sending this up to me.

Murky amber color with a thin but persistent off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and almonds. Flavors of chocolate toffee and a slight astringent finish. No hop feel that I could detect.

Bright glowing amber in color, nice frothy head that cling to my glass. Light caremel malty aroma, flavors of sweet caramel, very balanced, smooth clean finish, great for the vienna style, great session brew.

The caramel malt was very apparent. Almost overdone. This is a very ’sticky’sweet beer. Not a lot of hops. I prefer more, but this is a good lakefront beer.

wow, I got my share of this in over summerfest 2003. dark burgundy hinted body, off white head. caramely, sweet and a bit floral. somewhat roastey and grainy, but caramel is most prevalent. ripe fruits, and toasty caramelized grains. cleans up well. bers like these are what make lagers so appealing to me.

Clear copper appearance with a small off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, cookie dough, caramel and ripe fruit. Sweet malts dominate the taste; an earthy edge helps bring out flavors of fall fruits and spices. Smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with good carbonation leading to a lasting, mildly bitter finish.

This beer formed a small sized ivory head with fine-small sized bubbles that completely dissipated. The body was transparent and carbonated with an amber hue. The nose was malty and also caramel with a sweet, malty, and caramel flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth and this was a medium bodied beer with mediocre lacing. A very drinkable beer in my opinion and recommended.
